We pride ourselves in our grapes. Anyone who has ever tried to grow a crop organically in Northern Michigan knows that it is a constant struggle. Our limited growth season coupled with the harsh winters help to make our jobs a bit challenging. But we believe in the organic process! Without the use of chemicals, our grapes are more susceptible to disease. So we really have to stay on top of our weeding game – thank goodness we have sheep that help us keep the excess growth down. John has done a lot of research to use organically certified products to help keep our grapes healthy and disease-free.
